Welcome Me and STRIPEDtease 60's

Hello! First of all I want to welcome/congratulate me, for (finally!) coming up with another long overdue blog. Second of all, I want to thank you, my reader, for reading (<3).I can't believe that I'm doing this in the middle of our exams week. It's just weird that all the ideas come popping right out while I'm supposed to be writing a paper totally not related to fashion, blogging or the likes. Anyways, off to my FIRST post.

STRIPEDtease 60's
I remember a couple of years ago when stripe print became the 'next big print' in all of fashion fabric/print world. Everywhere in school, the mall, the church, etc., there was at least two or more people who wore a striped shirt, shorts, shoes, and even pants! I myself became a fan of the minimalistic yet eye-catching print. I read in one magazine the effect that the print has on the one wearing it. It creates an illusion of height (vertical stripes) and width (horizontal stripes) on the body structure of the person. Pretty cool, just like all the other brilliant prints out there. And it's amazing how it can easily be paired with the right kind of jeans, skirt, or what have you. The striped long-sleeve I'm wearing in the picture below, by the way, is actually from a guy friend of mine whom I begged just to have 'em.

Hopelessly trying to perfect the skeleton pose (left). You know how people from the 50's-60's period were very much sophisticated and prim&proper? I don't think they have welcomed the wacky pose at that time but yes, that is exactly what I'm trying to arrive at here.

Experimented with make-up, ended up with this. My eyebrows are not supposed to be this dark but I like it. I don't know with you but I think it complements my striped top and my whole outfit. PLUS! I am currently crazy over Nude Lipstick since my friend (left) bought this really pretty shade.

Tucked under cropped pants from a friend to give that vintage theme of the outfit, piled on some random bangles, and finished off the whole look with black pumps just because :)

much love
:)
